Magallanes Family-Brgy. Quirino Solano Nueva Vizcaya


Ferdinand Magallanes of Brgy.  Quirino Solano Nueva Vizcaya is a retired employee of the Bureau of Internal Revenue for more than 22 years of service. During his time he was assigned to different municipalities in the province of Nueva Vizcaya. He was most impressive on the track and his enthusiasm for his work.
Magallanes joined and became a freemason and make more of life because they develop invaluable leadership skills that serve them in their job and community. Each shares a core of common beliefs and dreams, each believes that even in a small way by every one of his actions to help this world better. Magallanes became a Worshipful Master in the year 2003 and he vested with considerable power to his member during his time.
The loving wife Concepcion Magallanes was a retired SPED teacher at Solano East Central Solano, Nueva Vizcaya for 6 years in service, all in all, she serves for 44 years as a teacher. Her students have garnered an award of Most Outstanding students in region 02 in the year 2002. Concepcion also a member of amaranth, women members of the Order are addressed as "Honored Lady", while men are referred to as "Sir Knight" during their masonic meeting.  and, they are blessed with four children; Joan who is in Singapore, Jennifer is a US military nurse, Bonifacio 111 who is working as a call center in Baguio city and Maria Rafaela is also a call center in Taguig Manila.

The Seafare's Life

Seafaring is a unique and unusual profession – in almost every category it is unlike most any other job or career. There is a risk, danger, challenge, and even disconnection but there can hopefully be rewards which make up for the negatives.


In the eyes of their community and relatives, their success was almost certain expectations are very high, after all, for seamen in our country comprises more than 25 percent of 1.5 million mariners worldwide.



Mariano Yanguas of Bintawan Sur Villaverde is a successful seaman through hardworking and determination he was able to attain the rank of a chief engineer of a cargo ship vessel that travels around the world.



Yanguas was motivated because the life of a farmer is hard, so he tried to enroll and studied at Philippine Maritime Institute- Colleges in Manila leading to a course of  BS in Marine Transportation in The Philippines and he got his license after an examination.
He was able to rose from the ranks from Master to Chief engineer and became the head of the crew who oversees and takes responsibilities of the ship's plant operations. Yanguas also supervise his fellow department personnel while providing job training and guidance to his fellow assistant engineers.

Natuyag Furniture Shop is a company that provides customers with quality and stylish dining table. In an interview with CV Northern Star staff, he recalled that it was quite a challenge to run this business at first because he doesn't have a big capital, But being the positive person that he is, he was determined to do it, so he turned to the only way he knows best.
Daniel B. Natuyag of Turturayok Bambang Nueva Vizcaya has established the Natuyag Furniture Shop which engaged in quality design furniture such as doors, beds, dining tables, chairs, cabinet and all kinds of wooden products.
 This furniture was put up in 2018 to generate income for the family and to send his children to school.  It was a simple shop when he started this business, now they have a machine for making good furnishings.


Patience and discipline are needed to survive with this kind of business. One order of furniture can take a month to finish the item and it depends if the project is simple.

MJ Lechon Brgy. Quirino Solano, Nueva Vizcaya

Whether it's a whole pig with an apple in its mouth, Lechon is the star at almost every Filipino celebration. It’s not just a meal but a mouth-watering tradition here in Nueva Vizcaya, especially in Solano.



Marcello Agraan of Brgy. Quirino Solano, Nueva Vizcaya has established MJ Lechon in 2002 up to present which accepts delicious Lechon for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baptism, debut, among others. MJ Lechon is also exporting Lechon in Japan every day, and rush orders are also accepted.

Jay James Ombao of Bintawan Road Brgy. He was motivated for this kind of work because she wants his children to have a brighter future.
Ombao learns how to make aluminum works when he became a checker in a company of fabrication of glass and aluminum supply in Iloilo. Here he mastered the art of mechanical skills to start all kinds of the aluminum window business and a few basic tools, glass-cutting equipment, and a starting inventory of raw materials will get his business up and running in no time.
