A True Public Servant

 



Once upon a time in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, Jose T. Castillo (deceased) had topnotch the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy during his time and the first who built and established the Rural Bank of Bagabag which engage in savings, loan, among others.

Jose Castillo had run as mayor of Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya and luckily he won and become the mayor for more than 20 years. He spearheads various projects such as farm-to-market road, in 2008 Castillo built the School Saranay Lantap Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya. When he passed away his son Victor Castillo has replaced his father and become the president of Rural Bank of Bagabag in 1966.

Victor Castillo had studied at a prestigious school at Ateneo de Manila University and took Banking and Finance leading to a four-year course .and eventually transferred to Univesity of the East to be her girlfriend Former Vice-mayor Lita Castillo[deceased], and soon became his wife. Victor Castillo was elected as mayor of Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya for more than 9 years and serves the people of Bagabag with integrity and honor. He accomplishes various projects such as farm-to-market roads, canal lining, and others.

Castillo has garnered notable awards; Outstanding Peace & Order Council in the entire Philippines, Outstanding PNP & BFP given in Malacanang Manila, Outstanding Department of Agriculture given in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, and Outstanding Municipal of the Year awardee for 5 consecutive years from 1996 to 2000.

Under his administration former mayor,  Victor Castillo and his council send sends thousands of poor and talented students who are eager to study but don't have enough funds to support them, providing free school uniforms and encourage them to go to school.

FCB Baquiran Palay & Corn Buying Station-San Luis Solano Nueva Vizcaya

 







Our economy went down because of the pandemic crisis, several businesses had temporarily closed because they can’t afford to pay their rent due to the impact of Covid-19. Frederick Baquiran and his family think of a business which is palay & corn buying. They renovated in front of their house to make a warehouse to start buying.



Frederick Baquiran of San Luis Solano Nueva Vizcaya had established FCB Baquiran Palay & Corn Buying Station which engages in buying palay and corn. He was encouraged to start this kind of business because his father Freddie Baquiran who has a connection to various rice mills and palay baying stations, because of his talent for making electrical panel boards for the use of rice mill tuners.



Freddie Baquiran had worked before as an accountant at Reta Drug-one of the biggest pharmaceutical in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and he was also work in Pagudpod Quezon as a  senior high teacher.



His parents Freddie and Claring Baquiran were blessed with six children: Frederick-businessman, Maricar-teacher at Aldersgate in Solano Nueva Vizcaya, Fredaclaire-accountant, Mark Zedrick- first-year college, Francis-Marine Engineer, and Freddie Jr- grade 11at saint Louis Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

Johlie Mae Tumacder Galzote - Nagsabaran Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya



 Johlie Mae Tumacder Galzote of Nagsabaran Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya had just graduated from a prestigious school at Saint Mary’s University in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, and took MedTech-The Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BS MT) is a four-year degree program that equips students with knowledge and skills in laboratory tests used in the detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. Students will also learn how to use modern equipment, instruments, and scientific methods to provide accurate laboratory results.



According to his parents, johnny and Julieta Galzote that Johlie Mae prefers to stay at home to read and answer her assignments during her college days, his parents are very proud and happy that she graduated and pass the board exam. As parents they already reap the fruit of their sacrifices, as his father johnny was a jeep driver for 10 years and her mother had work in Hongkong for 20 years, sending her to a private school and to provide for her needs.

After passing the MedTech licensure exam last January 2021, Johlie Mae has volunteered at a Rural Health Unit in Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya, and Definitely this a good foundation for her and to exercise what she learns in school.

Dumapis Furniture Shop-Nagsabaran Diadi Nueva Vizcaya

 




Virginia Gano Dumapis of Nagsabaran Diadi Nueva Vizcaya was motivated to established Dumapis Furniture Shop because this is the legacy of his parents.Dumapis is very eager to continue because of her passion for furniture making and generating income for her family.

Dumapis Furniture Shop started in July 20, 2020, which engage in making quality furniture such as table, chairs, bed and all. kinds of wooden products. Using Melina and mahogany wood, making them a seasoned wood before they make it a piece of furniture.

Virginia Gano Dumapis resides in Banaue, Ifugao where the famous Banaue Rice Terraces and occasionally called the "Eighth Wonder of the World". Her parents started making furniture and statues, using their vivid imagination they were able to make the best furniture in town.

She also goes to an exhibit during a fiesta in Diadi Nueva Vizcaya and nearby town and to make a showroom for people to visit and buy her furniture.

Former Barangay Captain Rolando Serapon -Calitlitan, Aritao Nueva Vizcaya

 



Former Barangay Captain Rolando Serapon of Calitlitan, Aritao Nueva Vizcaya had spearheaded various projects such as the Barangay Hall, covered court, drainage system among others. During his term, some of his projects were funded by Congressman Carlos Padilla and ruth Padilla, the provincial governor.

He was able to implement several ordinances like the liquor ban, astray animals, and curfew hours.

Brgy captain Serapon is the author of plant trees for a better tomorrow, mahogany, Melina and fruit-bearing trees are the ones that have planted during his term. Serapon and his council distributed 50 cows to his constituents for the dispersal program of the Barangay.

Serapon wants to thanks his constituents that his legacy lives on to every people in Brgy. Calitlitan gave their service for the progress of the barangay.

Mymy's Kambingan-Purok 7 Don Mariano Perez Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya





Henry  Madronio began cooking his favorite food since he was a kid at home because of his passion for Filipino foods. Henry & Melany of  Purok 7 Don Mariano Perez Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya had established Mymy's Kambingan which offers delicious food such as Asado, adobo, rings, Mami & lugaw, unlimited, caldereta, among others. Mymy's kambibgan is open 24 hours to accommodate visitors until late at night.



Henry had worked before with the best restaurant in metro manila like Kenny Rogers- is a casual dining restaurant with rotisserie-roasted chicken and lakay kambingan. This company became his foundation to practice cooking at its best.




The couple starts a meager amount of 5,000  capital, to begin with, at first they cook lugaw until such time they were able to offer a different menu to their customers.

Sk Chairman John Lyndon L. Hullana - Mauan Bambang Nueva Vizcaya

 



Brgy. Sk Chairman John Lyndon L. Hullana of Mauan Bambang Nueva Vizcaya is a first-term SK Chairman of this barangay and spearheaded several projects such as the distribution of school supplies for senior high school and college students which 40,000 pesos worth of supplies were given to them, almost 500 students were benefited by this program. He also proposed a project to be funded by Sk which is a boundary marker and arc for the barangay

Hullana was motivated to run as SK Chairman because he wants to help the youth to stay away from vices such as smoking and dangerous drugs.Hullana wants the youth to become good citizens and to be a model of this barangay.

SK Chairman Hullana wants to thanks his council, and the people who gave donations for the successful delivery of school supplies: Sarah Mipha and the Labagnoy family to name a few.
