Leonora Bueno- Pieza Villaverde Nueva Vizcaya

Growing crops is about the richness of the soil and the richness of the heart for Leonora Bueno and Felimon Bueno. They till and cultivate them with their blood and sweat but they are happy because they think about the future of their children. Liezel Ann Jacob of San Fernando road Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya has established Buy Lands Buying Station which engages in buying ginger[LUYA] from 1990 to present. She was motivated to continue their family because of her parent's legacy. All the products which they buy come from Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya.
Children serve as an inspiration to parents like Bayani Julian & Lanie Cerezo Julian and they are blessed with 4 children; Rasol is a grade 10 student, Tristan Jeremy is a grade 8, Mark Leon is grade 6 and Kirby grade 1, all of them are enrolled at St. Catherine in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya

Ex-mayor Victor Zapata Castillo-Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya


Ex-mayor Victor Zapata Castillo of Bagabag,  Nueva Vizcaya has become a mayor from 1995 to 2004. Castillo has accomplished various projects such as farm to market road, the Rizal shrine, among others during his 3 terms as a municipal mayor. When he was still in the position as mayor the principal of different schools became his adviser Principal Abon, Natividad, Garcia, and Rabonza to name a few.
Castillo has garnered notable awards; Outstanding Peace & Order Council in the entire Philippines, Outstanding PNP & BFP given in Malacanang  Manila, Outstanding Department of Agriculture given in Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya and Outstanding Municipal of the Year awardee for 5 consecutive years from 1996 to 2000.
Former Vice-mayor Lita Castillo[deceased], wife of former three-term Bagabag mayor Victor Castillo had received numerous commendable awards during her term.

One kind heart

Imelda Ampat Ramos of Masoc Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya has invested 15 tricycles in which she collected boundary remittance of each driver every day for 120.00 pesos, and the drivers will become the owner if they will finish paying their dues.
Ramos is an OFW in Singapore for almost 10 years, and she comes home for good in 1995. She put her savings to buy tricycles to help uplift the lives of selected drivers in Masoc. Imelda Ramos is blessed with two talented children; Alma Layco who is working in the Philippine Arena in Bulacan and Dennis Ramos whose ambition is to become a police officer someday. He is a 1st-year criminology student at PLT in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Ramos became the parent resource speaker during the Academic Advising Session in preparation for the 4th periodical examination of grade 8 Mapagbigay, this was held at Saint Mary's School and Science High school and given on 25th day on February 2014.

Police Staff Sergeant Aireen O. Marquez - Careb Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya



Being a police officer is a meaningful and impactful way to serve a community. Becoming a police officer doesn’t rely heavily on formal education; in fact, a high school diploma is often the minimum formal education required. An associate’s, bachelor’s or graduate degree is rarely mandatory. Instead, extensive and specialized training is required. This training is often provided by the National Police Training Institute (NPTI).
Aireen O. Marquez of Careb Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya took up Bachelor of Elementary Education and a board passer of Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET). Mrs. Marquez has been recruited at Philippine National Police PNP in 2009. Her childhood ambition became a reality and she thanks God for it. She was assigned at the Women and Children Protection Desks (WCPD in Villaverde with the rank of Police Staff sergeant.
After 10 years of public service, she was able to purchase a 1 hectare of farmland that comes from their continues saving. Mrs. Marquez also engaged in an online selling of PNP uniforms.
The husband of Aireen Marquez is Daryl Marquez a police inspector, equivalent of a lieutenant who is assigned in Cauayan City and they were blessed with 2 children Mark Darren and Shane Audrey.

The Arellano Palay Buying Station is located in Caloocan Bambang Nueva Vizcaya and managed by Rolando & Norabel Labao. It was established in the year  2000, through loans they were able to purchase rice products and gradually the buying station grows until such time they reach the peak, and able to acquire an elf for transport for easy delivery of rice and palay.
His sister Dania Smith is US citizen and Melinda Yasay  who is a retired US Nurse in California, both of them help Justine Labao to send him to college with a course of architecture, they guide him to become the youngest architect , he was only 25 years of age and able to pass the board exam in just 1 hit,  by God’s grace and blessings through prayers and his mother request for help to St. Therese, St. Jude and St. claire before he took the exam. she even offered rice & egg through intercession at St. Claire in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.
Norabel Labao was blessed with three children; Jan Mariano Labao is a nurse at Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, architect Justine Louie Labao and Norman Labao is an assistant nurse at MAGSAYSAY VRH BAYOMBONG NUEVA VIZCAYA

Rencold Junkshop-San Geronimo Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya


This business is most relevant today considering that the government has promoted environmental awareness among its citizens like solid waste management, expressing the need for proper waste disposal and recycling materials as a major factor in protecting the environment.
Mr. & Mrs. Mariver Giron of San Geronimo Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya had established the Rencold Junkshop in 2019 with a meager capital of 20,000 pesos which they use to start buying all kinds of scrap such as bottle, metal, copper, paper, among others.
At the very beginning, buying scraps requires a greater sacrifice in dealing with customers that even you are eating if somebody knocks at the door to sell some scraps you must entertain it immediately, otherwise they will sell it to another junkshop. Giron started"kolong kolong" for buying scraps and a rolling fund is needed for the business to thrive.
As of now, they have already acquired 2 forward trucks for fast transport. Their business expanded into other mini junk shops in Lagawe and Diadi to buy a bigger amount of scraps.

Emilia Urbano Acosta -San Geronimo Bagabag Nueva Vizcaya

Coming from abroad in 2006, Emilia's hard work is not a waste of time because she spends less and saves more while she was in Hongkong. Elsa Yanguas who rose from humble beginnings and personal struggles to achieve renowned success. If you think that even your smallest actions as a teacher can't make a difference.
Yanguas and her co-teacher of Bintawan National High School Villaverde have just celebrated world teacher day yesterday Oct. 4, 2019, to show gratitude for the hard work and commitment to develop and nurture the country's future leaders and nation. She is a MAPE and English teacher with overwhelming expertise in the classroom. She was motivated to become a teacher because she wants to provide inspiration to her students and to help them to be successful in life someday.
She began her teaching career in 1986 to present at Bintawan National High School in Bintawan Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya. According to Yanguas, it is an achievement to fulfill the main purpose of teaching as imparted to the students and to help them grow into burning knowledge and skills in life.

Tripple T Enterprises-Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya

Josephine Naui of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya have just recently established the Tripple T Enterprises, dealer of G- Melina, mahogany, and acacia lumber. Most of her customers are furniture owners and homeowners who want to renovate and build their house beautifully. As of now, they are using an electric woodcutter for resizing a log of wood.
Josephine was a former teacher for 13 years and she was promoted as principal in SMU High School Department for girls. Naui also has a bakery located at Bayombong, maker of delicious bread such as a sponge cake, Hopia, pan de coco, and others.
Naui had been blessed with five professional children; Genalyn is working in government in an Ombudsman. Glen is working in the Department of Agriculture, Jose Antonio Jr. is now a successful businessman in Las Pinas, Neil Geronimo is now in new Zealand and Gary is the youngest adopted son who took Veterinary Medicine, he is the first graduate of NVSU Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. Garry is the one who managed the Tripple T Enterprises.

Tan Junkshop-Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

The Tan Junkshop and Scrap Business is a simple buy and sells a business, which is less considered by many since the traded products are unclean and soiled. But in another view, it is a lucrative business that generates a lot of money both for garbage collectors and junk shop owners.
This business is most relevant today considering that the government has promoted environmental awareness among its citizens like solid waste management, expressing the need for proper waste disposal and recycling materials as a major factor in protecting the environment.
Tan Junkshop was established in 2003 by Rosemarie Tan and managed by Maristela Tan of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. At first, they try to buy some scraps but eventually, the business grows with the right cash handling and tried and tested strategies to maintain a business.
The walk-in seller is very effective because the location is visible to people in that area. This popular Filipino slogan“ May Pera sa Basura” is the inspiration of some children in Solano who want to have money through selling scraps.
Tan believes in saying “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence”.


Sherlina Toledo Ducusin Outstanding Teacher and Award Winner


Dr. Sherlina Toledo Ducusin of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya has the heart of a teacher, it was a noble profession among all the professions since all professionals underwent educations with a teacher. Ducusin took her BS HOME TECHNOLOGY in the University of the Philippines  Los Baños in 1961, in 1965 she passed the teacher examination(LET) and became a professor V1 from 1990 to present in Nueva Vizcaya State University. She was also crowned royal matron of Sierra Madre court no. 43 by Order of the Amaranth.
Because of her loyalty and perseverance in her teaching career, she garnered an award as a cooperating teacher for ten years from the Central Luzon State University in 1975. Other previous numerous awards & recognition are given to her such as Outstanding Alumnus at NVSU alumni association in 1976, the Loyalty and Service Award at NVSU from 1988 to 2004 the distinguished Service Award at Alpha Phi Omega fraternity and sorority in 1993.
Dr. Sherlina has been very active with various travels and conferences like the workshops related to her job in Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, Iloilo City, Cebu City, Palawan, Ilocos region, among others. She was married to dr. Dionisio Gatchalian Ducusin( deceased) who became the past president II of Bayombong Nueva Vizcaya State University and past president of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial, University. And they were blessed with two children; Dr. Rhio John Ducusin working at the University of the Philippines in Los Banos Laguna, and Dr. Pierre Leo T. Ducusin who work assistant professor in Nueva Vizcaya State University Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.now at Hacienda Macalauan, Barangay Mabacan Calauan, Laguna.

Clark Jefferson D. Madarang -Bagahabag, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya


Clark Jefferson D. Madarang of Bagahabag, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya has graduated recently at Philippines Military Acadamy in Baguio City, it is a school of Armed Forces of the Philippines. Madarang is a 3d year college before he took his examination at Saint Mary’s University in 2014. As an active PMA, he was assigned to different provinces such as Pampanga, Batangas, and Pasay.
Getting into PMA is a feat in itself; The academy imposes strict requirements to ensure the selection of capable individuals. You are qualified if you are: A natural-born Filipino citizen. At least 5 feet in height (male or female), but not taller than 6’4”.Physically fit. Minimum requirements for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)Sit-ups push-ups,3.2 km run, Pull-ups (males)/ Flex arm hang (females), Of the good moral character, with no criminal case. Single, never been married, and have no legal obligation to care for a child. A high school graduate with an 85% GPA or higher. Grade 12 students can take the entrance test if they will graduate before June 1 of the year following the examination. At least 17 years old but not a day older than 21 years old on June 1 of the year following the examination.

Diego's Restaurant -Dupax Del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya


Francis Cezar Reyes of Dupax Del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya had worked not long ago in Iran with his wife Wanda who is working in a Department of Foreign Affairs. He was motivated to try his luck in cooking because of his passion and he always wants to entertain people.
Sometimes later, Reyes and her wife went on vacation in the Philippines and put up Diego's Restaurant located in Dupax Del Sur, the restaurant specialties are Japanese, American, Thailand among others. The restaurant also engaged in catering services such as weddings, baptism, anniversaries, graduation, birthdays and others.



Francis Cezar Reyes is service-oriented and works as a med- rep in 1997 and at SM  as a clerk. Reyes goes to culinary school to gain more cooking and the know-how of cookery at SKD  in Quezon city.
