Motivated and active Barangay Councilor Isaiah Almuete Jr. of San Antonio North Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya help his Barangay Captain and Council to finish the covered court funded by the local government unit and provincial fund, farm to market roads given by the Department of Agriculture and the financial assistance to buy equipment.

Almuete wants to thanks his Barangay Captain Nordy Gamboa and council for the successful Community-Driven Development Project.

Andy’s Junk Shop-Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya

Andy’s Junk Shop is owned and managed by Andy Vallejo, cleanliness and organization is their second nature, and so it is unusual to see them flourish in the junk shop business where “getting dirty” is the name of the game.

The business started out as a small junk shop buyer with an initial investment of 10,000. The shop then had 8 employees going around Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya looking for recyclable wastes that can be sold to a bigger junk shop. These scraps are plastics, metals and other items.

Andy relies at first on freelancers who go house-to-house looking for garbages like steel, plastic, and glass. Andy junkshop started with a bicycle sidecar to buy scrap, bottle, metal, and others. After 5 years, Andy Vallejo has already 8 tricycles and 2 forward truck to use for their business.

Hon. Michael Villegas -Banganan Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya

Michael Villegas of Banganan Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya is a first-termer Barangay Captain who is very active to his duty as a public servant, his accomplishments are as follows; streetlights, covered court, rubberize flooring for the basketball court and pressurized tank. The highlights of their Christmas party were begun with arranging of a booth for every Purok. The best booth has an award for the Best Christmas Village; 1st prize- 15 thousand, Second prize- 10 thousand- 3rd prize 6 thousand, 4th prize- 7 thousand and 5 consolation prizes. During the town fiesta, Barangay Banganan won the Best-Dressed Booth, 3rd place for the Folk Dance and 2nd place for the Best Float.

 Nina Ricci Javier represents Miss Aritao and she got the 1st runner- up. Barangay Captain Villegas and Council gave free 1 Cavan of rice if somebody marries and free musical band for the dead family in Banganan. Councilor Marnilo Carbonel donated an ambulance for emergency use.

Senior Citizen - Dupax Del Sur Nueva Vizcaya.

It's more fun to be a senior citizen in the Philippines? It may seem so, as the government provides elderly Filipinos with senior citizen discount and other perks to help ease their finances in their golden years. As a millennial, you may be 30 to 40 years away from enjoying those privileges, but it helps to learn about them now, especially if you're looking after your parents or grandparents. Yes, they need your help in knowing and asserting their rights under the senior citizen law.

Maria Guzman is the president of a senior citizen in Dupax Del Sur Nueva Vizcaya. The Senior Citizen is a mortuary program that every member obliged to pay their contribution and annual dues, the president will coordinate with local government unit and Barangay. Guzman and the officials of senior citizen work without an honorarium.

Every new member will pay 100  upon registration and the member must pay 100 for their annual dues and for special mortuary fund a member will receive 1,000 pesos. The basic assistance for seniors will be receiving 6000 pesos. Incentives for every member will be 25% for 3 months, 50% for 6 months and 95% for every 9 months.

Ermita Villanueva - Solano, Nueva Vizcaya

Ermita Villanueva of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya is a philanthropist with a heart, she sends to school children who don't have enough funds, providing them with school supplies such as paper, bags, pencil among others. Ermita frequently visits them even from farm flung barangays, Malabing, Kasibu, Ibong, Villaverde, Busilac Nueva Vizcaya, and other places.
The business-minded, Ermita engaged buy and sell business while she still struggling to send his children to school. Ermita buys meat at first and sells to her family and friends until such time she can already buy a pig to raise, in a year she has a piggery with 25 heads. Ermita also has a glassware business at Solano public market for 30 years, her business and piggery production was a success. Ermita now has a two apartment with 5 doors and a 5-hectare ricefield.
Ermita's two daughters Sonia and Novelyn have graduated as a nurse and apply in the USA to become a full pledge nurse in the United States. Mercy Grace became a doctor in the United States too, Allan graduated in electrical engineering and residing in Olongapo, Zambales where Allan engage in poultry production.
Ermita and her husband travel in and out of NewYork, New Jersey, and North Carolina USA to buy jewelry and sell here in the Philippines.

Bona Sy Isinai -Dupax Del Sur Nueva Vizcaya

The Isinai are a small ethnic group living in the municipalities of Bambang and Nueva Vizcaya, as well as in Dupax Del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya province. Their ethnic communities show a decline in population, with only around 16,000 members on record. It is a concern from within and outside the communities. There may be members who are trying their best to keep their practices intact and preserve their culture.

Mrs. Lilia Castañeda Magquilat is the elected president of Bona
Si Isinai here in Dupax Del Sur Nueva Vizcaya in 1992. Bona Si Isinai is a community organization which brings together those who belong to the Isinai clan. The group has already 200 members who are registered, upon registration, a member will pay 100 for each member. Bona Si Isinai already has a saving of 7000 thousand pesos for the clan. Mrs. Magquilat plans to have a separate office for bona Sy Isinai.
